Hi Sean,

When you say you are "missing data" in the Criteria Performance Report, do 
you mean that you are actually missing impressions (get a different total 
*Impressions* value) or that you are seeing impressions attributed to other 
criteria types besides keywords? I ask because the Criteria Performance 
Report is a single attribution report 
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/reporting-concepts#single-and-multi-attribution>,
 
meaning AdWords will assign each impression to the *one* row for 
the criterion that it deems to be the most relevant for the impression. By 
adding Parental Status criteria, you may have changed which criteria is 
most relevant for your impressions, hence the different results.

If that does not explain the differences, could you provide me with some 
campaign or ad group IDs as well as the reporting definitions you are using?
