Hi Oliver, I'll check with the reporting team, but note that there are several other reports that do not have *ExternalCustomerId*. Since reports can only be run for one AdWords account at a time, we don't necessarily consider this to be a critical field.
As a work-around, you could detect the customer ID from the *clientCustomerId* of your AdWords user/session (the value that winds up in the clientCustomerId header <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/soap#clientCustomerId> ).
