Hi Raphaelle, I am not aware of a way through the AdWords API to determine if the user (email address) has already an AdWords account. However, there should be a message thrown during the sign up <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/signup> when using an email address that already has an existing AdWords account. Also, only the Shopping Performance Report <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/shopping-performance-report> gives the merchantId <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/shopping-performance-report#merchantid> information associated to the shopping campaign of an AdWords account.
