Hi Chris, 

The examples in the AdWords API PHP client library looks for the 
adsapi_php.ini configuration file in your home directory. Since your 
question is specific to the PHP client library, I would suggest that you 
create a thread in the library's issue tracker 
<https://github.com/googleads/googleads-php-lib/issues> so they can help 
you out.
