Hi David, Could you confirm if the campaign where you are creating the ad group already has a bidding strategy defined in it? If yes, then I'm afraid that setting bidding stragtegies from a lower level is no longer supported as of version 201705 of the AdWords API. For more information regarding the said change, you may refer to this section <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/bidding#migrating_the_bidding_strategy_configuration_override_of_ad_groups_and_keywords> of the bidding strategy <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/bidding> guide.
However, if what I mentioned is not the scenario, you may reply via *Reply privately to author* and send to me the generated SOAP request and response so I can further investigate.
