Hi Peter, You cannot connect the AdWords API with AdWords Scripts because they are both different platforms. If you're new to AdWords API and want to get started, you will need to sign up for an MCC account by following this guide <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/signup> and then request for basic access by filling up and submitting this form <https://services.google.com/fb/forms/newtoken/>. The AdWords Compliance Team should contact you within 2 business days for its status.
The next step would be to generate your OAuth2 credentials <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/authentication> and download a client library <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/clientlibraries>. Once your setup has been completed and basic access has been approved, you may then be able to make calls using your production account.
