Hello,

Please find my response below:

   1. Is there any changes on AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/ad-performance-report>
   with this API upgrade?
   You should still be able to get the stats of the existing Ads using the
   Ad Performance Report. Was that your question?
   2. After March 6, 2019, can I still use AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/ad-performance-report>
   to get the structure and performance data of old DynamicSearchAds
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/AdGroupAdService.DynamicSearchAd>
   ?
   Yes, that is correct.
   3. If we want to migrate existing DynamicSearchAds
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/AdGroupAdService.DynamicSearchAd>
   to ExpandedDynamicSearchAds
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/AdGroupAdService.ExpandedDynamicSearchAd>,
   we need to create a copy of current DynamicSearchAds
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/AdGroupAdService.DynamicSearchAd>, and they will have different AdId and AdType, is my understanding correct?
   Yes, the AdId is not expected to be the same. However, please note that
   the Ad Id alone is not a unique identifier. You will need to use the
   AdGroup Id along with the AdId to uniquely identify an Ad. Please check
   here
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/objects-methods#object_id_uniqueness>
   for the object Id uniqueness in AdWords API.

Thanks,
Sreelakshmi, AdWords API Team

Hi,

As the blog
<https://ads-developers.googleblog.com/2019/02/upgrade-dynamic-search-ads-in-adwords.html> post
says, existing DynamicSearchAds
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/AdGroupAdService.DynamicSearchAd> will
continue to serve. This said, you should be able to retrieve your
DynamicSearchAds using the DYNAMIC_SEARCH_AD ad type
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/AdGroupAdService.Ad.Type>
.

Thanks and regards,
Luis

Hi AdWords API and Google Ads API experts,

Recently we received an announcement of 'Upgrade Dynamic Search Ads in
AdWords API and Google Ads API by March 6, 2019', it mentions that
ADD/MUTATE ads using DynamicSearchAd (DYNAMIC_SEARCH_AD) will fail.
Wondering whether GET them using DynamicSearchAd (DYNAMIC_SEARCH_AD) will
fail or not?

Thanks.
