Yes, you can use the same credentials that you have used for the AdWords
API to run the GetAdGroups.java
<https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-java/blob/master/google-ads-examples/src/main/java/com/google/ads/googleads/examples/basicoperations/GetAdGroups.java>
program.
You could refer to this migration guide
<https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/migration/carryover>
while
migrating from the AdWords API to the Google Ads API. If you are still
facing the issue please share the email address of the user that the Oauth
credentials are created by and the Client customer Id that is used to make
the API call along with the complete error logs. You could use reply
privately to the author option while sharing the information requested.
