With regards to your concern, with client libraries you will be able to make the calls to the endpoints. There are two ways of making calls to the API as mentioned in this guide, one while sending the request as protocol buffer and other sending request as a JSON object. You could use the protocol buffers from here. Additionally, please refer to the shared guide for your requirements and the protocol buffers implementations available for client libraries from here (in PHP, also available for other client libraries under the overview section of the client libraries).
