Please do note that reports have different source of data which is the primary reason why they return different results. The ad_group_ad returns all related metrics for an ad group ad while the ad_group_ad_asset_view returns all metrics between an AdGroupAd and an Asset. As for the behavior between 2 reports and how metrics or statistics are calculated for their entity specialization, we highly suggest that you reach out to the Product Support Team via this link instead.
