Moving forward to your concern about "historical data," historical metrics cannot generate campaign total cost per day. To learn more about this, you can visit this link. On the other hand, what we can do is filter the date by using segments.date and metrics.cost_micros to generate the campaign total cost per day. To further help you, you can make use of the Query Builder to help you construct and validate queries.
