In Kate's absence (she returns on April 2), I contacted Databack about William Conger's inability to receive from, or post on, on the forum. They've been aware of William's problem, they have been working it, and will continue to work on it. Databack's response below conveys the current state of play. One way or another I know this problem will be fixed. *****
The problem is with William's ISP. Mailings from our server to his address were being blocked by att/sbcglobal/whomever_they_are and bounced back as undeliverable. Those bounces caused his address to be automatically removed from the list. I have re-instated his address on the list. But if the bounces continue, he will either need to get his ISP to remove that block, or sign on using a different email address. FWIW, I highly recommend a free Gmail account for participation in discussion lists, even if it's used only to forward to his preferred mailbox. Pls see http://wiki.databack.com/WhyILikeGmail PS - When we first noticed the block, we submitted requests at least twice via the indicated ATT/Sbcglobal forms to have it removed. They replied that they were not blocking our server, but the bounces resumed/continued anyway. ************** Create a Home Theater Like the Pros. Watch the video on AOL Home.
