I compared the 1937 essay with the 1936 essay and there doesn't seem to be any difference,unless it is in the notes,which weren't in the 1936. Benjamin seems to be tiptoeing around the idea that the "masses" don't pay much attention to the reproductions which they now have in their possession. Kate Sullivan
