Agreed, Saul. And by the way, "mechanisic processes" sounds too much (to me at least) like the dualism Descartes used to promote. He conceptualized life as external and mechanical structure and function. The idea of "mechanistic processes" sounds like mechanistic natural philosophy all over again.
