When you consider the vulgarity of the current political scene in America and the obscenity of the Wall Street anarchists, together with the hubris of our government leaders and the mess they've made of democracy, it's no wonder that some artists turn to solitude and ignore the dumbed-down public that has enabled this chaos. The "public" is conditioned to appreciate mass advertising and other propaganda, not art. WC
