Ms Sullivan, Should you have serviceable German, I highly recommend reading Bettine Menke's Book, _Sprachfiguren: Name, Allegorie, Bild_. She has a wonderful argument that connects 'aura' to the nature of images and textures/surfaces via their legibility. I may disagree with her reliance on certain 'deconstructive' readings, but in all she has written an excellent book. Perhaps in the top 3 books on Benjamin.
