That's a dumb article that has nothing to say about art as investment but instead just tosses around the usual silly cliches. There are some people who have actually examined the investment aspects of art. They approach it like someone would any investment sector, tracking and analyizing what gains, what loses in both short and long term periods. Their concerns are not at all with aesthetics but simply market issues. I'm not advocating the practice but the market science is there. The writer should've done a little research and less partying.
