Wait, whatchoo saying, you? I writ that line, some time ago. It's in
one of the scripts now on the internet.
The money paid to a writer is called a "royalty." You know, like in
kings and queens. Money = power. The use of the term to mean a payment
for the sale of a book or a performance comes from the licensing fee
paid to the crown for a commercial concession, such as mining rights.
