Not any suited salesman, a bespoke suited salesman. I was not thrashing but writing with my usual wit and hyperbole. Thrashing with words is far below my level of competence. > > The failing auto industry makes such a easy target, but how > is his educational > industry any different ? "Moi?" My educational industry? I am not the CEO of any educational indusrtry. I do, however, have deep experience and informed opinions regarding higher education, especially at the research and graduate levels. And there are many different kinds of education to consider at all levels. They are not like the auto industry; they are not industry. This is where Miller always leaves the tracks, clattering and bumping along on the ties and gravel like that old time cartoon character Smokey Stover. He has some fixed notion about education but can never be precise in describing what it is except to imply that it is a very negative notion. Let him describe the failings he has in mind.
