Frances to Luis... You may be aware of it, but the website of an industrial designer called Andries Van Onck turned up at my end. It purports to deal with the theory and practice of industrial design to include issues turning on semiotics and linguistics. My quick scan of its webpages show some interesting approaches to design in general with respect to signs and symbols, but the website does not seem to deal with architecture specifically. In any event, the section on design as semiosis in particular will be read. Among other things, the section promises to compare francoeuropean semiology with angloamerican semiotics, which is certainly of interest to me. If you are familiar with this website could you perhaps advise me in what regard it might be held in say academia.
