There are many artistic skills that are solely dexterous and many that are not. My remarks referred to the dexterous sort, the ones we usually think of when we speak of, say, drawing and sculpting skills. Intellectual skills pertaining to the visual arts may involve the nuance of selection, placement, ordering, and the like. And then there are skills of observation, and still many more. Anyone I might consider an artist would have some skills in abundance, perhaps not the usual ones and perhaps some others not easily recognized. I suppose I should have said all that in my post but it's to be expected that any conversational post will not explicate every relevant thought. wc

WC Apart from any other recognition they might receive, are there any people with only commonplace visual skills whom *you* think deserve to be called 'artists' ____________________________________________________________ Shop & save on the supplements you want.
