I really appreciate the comments made by Boris and Mando regarding my drawing! (even if they don't really like it and I don't really care)
Have you noticed that both of them have framed their response in the language of right/wrong rather than like/dislike ? (even Mando - who otherwise is passionately committed to different strokes for different folks) It's my speculation that no other genre of visual art can attract this level of normative response -- because looking at people is the most intense, important and complex thing our eyes ever do. It reflects our personality. And because academic figure drawing can be disciplined enough to present a convincing illusion. An abstract painting or cartoonish stick-figure may be boring -- but only an academic figure drawing can be wrong. ____________________________________________________________ Click here for great quotes from top international movers! http://thirdpartyoffers.netzero.net/TGL2231/fc/BLSrjnxXlVfQcjbkkI4oToToJ0JzOM m1attfkrVqtPKB9n5QP0yizW3xi4A/
