It was something we discussed at the time. We have only so much bandwidth
allotted to us before we start paying rather steeper charges for extra
used and this was a way of limiting use, and addressing the most banal overuse
by individuals. I think we based the limit on whoever seemed to post most
content they had written themselves, which may very well have been Frances. The
kicker is that if bandwidth for one day isn't used up then it goes over
to the next day unless overall bandwidth use is less when it may be
allotted to somewhere it is needed more. It isn't a static system, it's a
jumpy
system, and it runs automatically. Or, Frances may have run into a momentary
glitch(the other day I could not save William's emails, today I can),her own
system may have glitched, some packets are lost every day on the internet
and hers may have met that fate. The point is that you can't really tell
what happened and the limit has worked fine for several years so it probably
wasn't that. If it was important Frances could try rposting and see what
happens.
On another note, we don't allow attatchments both for bandwidth
reasons and because attachments are the way viruses spread. Most people use
Microsoft, where this is a problem in particular, and we cannot be responsible
for
the possibility of spreading any virus in spite of how convenient it would
be to post pictures.
