I enjoyed a wonderful day at the Detroit Institute of Art and then a fine dinner at Henry Ford's landmark hotel in Dearborn with my wife and thus didn't see one minute of the show. Incidentally, I can't praise the Detroit collection enough. Most of the paintings are unglassed and you can go up close enough to see the modes of painting. A painter's paradise! Of course the Rivera mural is great, now cleaned. I was last there about 20 years ago. I am still in shock.
