Aesthetic traditionalists, conservatives, tea party types like traditional art
because they think they can predict what it will be next; they hate innovative
art because they can't predict what it will be next. They assume that what
they
can't predict must be evil or crazy or vulgar or tasteless or decadent . Good
artists can't predict what they will do next; bad artists always can. Berg has
finally revealed his conservative aesthetics. Big surprise, huh?

Oh joy. Many like you probably won't be able to sleep until then.

As far as I am concerned, this is what WORK IS ART... is really all about:

- Traditional skills in art are boring to them [the media], they want
something new and sensational, and they want it all the time, no matter how
inept or opportunistic it might be.
