That is exactly right. "Time" is really just the currency of change. It is just an arbitrary (except for the weirdness about the speed of light) way to compare one rate of change with another: for instance, a runner's relationship to a ovoid track and a counter on a stop-watch.

No change. No time. Eternity is not endless changing, but the end of change.
