Incidentally, Saul has a wonderful response to a letter re one
of his previous 
articles in Art in America (Dec. 2010) where he needs to
point out that an 
artist's so-called intentions are never free from a
overriding cultural contexts 
(my words not his).  Sometimes artists can be
like born-aginers who rant against 
evil while on their way to rob the local
gas station.
