If this is the aesthetic list, isn't it time to re-examine Hegel on art?  I far 
as I can see, he is the root of all discussion on aesthetics and philosophy of 
art in modern context.  It seems necessary to me to re-examine his views in 
order to get a firmer grip on a point of view that can guide discussions of 
current art.

So far as I can recall, no one here has ever mentioned Hegel. That's like 
discussing the foundation of modern capitalism without mentioning Adam Smith.
