artists but ends up seeming like a satement about all artists -- which I
realize William did not mean.   I have to wonder what form of "egalitarianism"
any artists can embrace. It has to be qualified. "I am egalitarian in the
sense that I think we should all pay the same tax rate," is different from, "I
think all artists are equally talented."
