Sorry, Berg, that's a very lame, sheepish quote. You have such a large catalog of dumb quotes, dumber by squares because they are taken out of context and I think you just post them as they pop up from some dippy app you've got on your computer. This one, beyond being incoherent and passing the buck to the good as if the good is itself not an idea, relies on a residual sentimentality as an escape from rigorous thinking: Oh, of course, the good. We all know what that is....we learned it in our religion, at our Mother's knee, in grammar school reading primers, and on the government slogans on the barnyard wall in Orwell's 1984. The good is all around us. Just read the signs and obey.
Here are a few quotes from me and my errant muse: Do try to be different. Seek the good. To be diffrent is good enough. wc ----- Original Message ---- From: joseph berg <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Fri, September 28, 2012 5:54:54 AM Subject: Re: shock On Thu, Sep 27, 2012 at 7:14 AM, William Conger <[email protected]>wrote: ...What ever happened to well-reasoned language and good ideas?... > good ideas? - Don't try to be different.
