So where does nature begin and end?  Does it end at the point where 
consequences 
become rewards or punishments?  Where is that?

I think these neat divisions of events into those which are moral and those 
which are not rely on old notions of mankind as next to godliness and even to 
divisions of mankind into those more worthy or more godly than others.  This is 
The Great Chain of Being, probably the most evil idea invented by the powerful 
to crush the powerless.
