Over 14 weeks we will be reading?Kant's 3rd?Critique?in its entirety, along with the unpublished 1st Introduction, seeking to understand its place in the Kantian system as a whole, supposedly as a bridge between his philosophies of nature and freedom (epistemology and ethics), and examining its legacy in modern aesthetics, political and moral theory, and philosophy of science. All welcome.? Those who wish to attend are asked to read the Preface and (published) Introduction for the first week. We will be reading the book in English but consulting the German along the way. (No translation is stipulated, but I, at least, will be reading Pluhar's.)
