It looks like gmail defaults to reply to the sender only... it's going to take a bit to get used to hitting the reply-all button, but I don't see it as being a big deal if the majority prefers it that way.
There are probably going to be a lot of messages not making it to the list until everybody figures it out... then again, that might not be so bad...
