Yeah the only stuff I still see to this day that would really be
applicable to a fiber hut would be some power systems, and some Fiber
transport systems if you get the largest chassis require a 23" rack ex:
ciena 6500,Nokia PSS. Also if you are planning on install very large
routers ASR9006, T4000, or 7750SR12 don't require 23" but if you are
installing DC versions they are a pain to install in a 19".

I am buying rack mounts for a fiber NOC.
One of my co-workers presumed I was getting all 23” and I was
thinking all 19”.
In my experience, power racks were 23” and most of the other stuff
was 19”.
But now I am doubting myself. I don’t have a lot of extra room, so I
don’t want to fill it with all 23” racks.
I suppose I should put in one. Can always convert 23 to 19 with ears
but not the other way around.
Whadya think, is most stuff 19 or 23?
