Hmmm.....cut the cord off and put a simple thermostat in line.
I guess there's no specific reason I can't other than not wanting someone to open my box and laugh at it.

    They have a 13"x21" which is just right sized for the bottom of a
    cabinet.

    I hate buying from Alpha because they always make it hard to get
