That is true, the vendor can do things the receiver cannot.

I’ve had success doing this by contacting the vendor and requesting another 
package be sent.  They can typically stop or redirect package 1 and send 
package 2 to your new location.  I’ve done this with Amazon and BestBuy.

    I have tried but never been successful.  And if you file any kind of online 
support complaint etc it actually delays the whole process.

not found a way to redirect and UPS says they can not do this.
