the worst are frozen duct and duct with mice in it. I have even heard people using a sewage duct before.

Wouldn't it depend on if the hole it's going into is wet or not?

See, posts like that are the reason you have tons of new people
    signing up for the list.

Once they find out it’s not a forum for people who want their rod
larger and longer, or to find the best lubes, they will unsubscribe.

Do you ever wish you had gotten something larger than 1/4”?  Or
    longer?

7/16" is pretty stout.  Toneable is a must.  We have a 500' 1/4"
one, and we wish it was toneable all the time...we currently pull
back detectable (toneable) muletape when we get a call to mark
    empty duct.

Anyone have opinions about diameters and lengths of duct rodders.

I am buying a new one and I think I am going to go with 600’
        long 7/16” dia toneable.

Generally when I have been rodding it has been for shorter
        distances.

But sometime you have to go a long distance.  I personally
have never done a long distance with a rodder.
