Hi All, We have a couple of suspect Cambium PTP820 links (11GHz and 18GHz) that have come back from the field that we need to test on the bench.
What is best practice for testing RF link, with the units side by side and without installed antennas? From what I understand, running them like this can cause dramas. Previously, I've done it in a large warehouse (with the antennas on and low power), but don't have the space. I believe that I should be looking for some sort of attenuator that can connect between the two waveguides on each unit? Cambium have quoted their "Bench Test Setup Kit", but at ~$2.5k per kit/per frequency, it becomes an expensive proposition just to prove the units need to be RMA'd. I trust that the couple of Aussies I knew of who attended WISPAPALOOZA were on their best behaviour... Cheers, Mark
