But the feds seems to believe fiber is dead. Long live 5G! They probably realized they would have to raise the USF contribution rate to 500% to have enough subsidy money to pay the telcos to run fiber to every house. Whereas with 5G, they can just do a Jedi mind trick and pretend rural areas suddenly have broadband, without all that pesky infrastructure spending.
But if you're still laying fiber, you must be a dinosaur. Probably going shopping later at Sears or Radio Shack or Barnes and Noble. You really need to stay current with the latest shiny object. I guess I shouldn't complain. At least now WISPs are winning some subsidy money when the telcos turn it down. Once you say fixed wireless is equivalent to wired, it gets harder to deny funding to WISPs with the old "slow, unreliable, doesn't work in bad weather, etc." claims. -----Original Message----- From: AF <[email protected]> On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Friday, October 19, 2018 2:03 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [AFMUG] Aux chute Made an auxillary chute to add capacity to the plow.
