We do over punch the holes and they do deform a bit when they are stamped
after punching.
But the main thing we do is to hand proof the fit of every single bolt, hole
and nut.

Something that may not be readily apparent is that Chuck's pipe-to-pipe
clamps have about an inch wider span than competitors, this is a big deal
when clamping to things like grain leg platforms where otherwise you would
have to get the extra humongous size clamps that are 1/2 inch thick and
have 5/8 inch threaded rods and are major overkill.
I have also not run into the problems getting the galvanized nuts onto the
galvanized rods that I have experienced with some other brands - namely zinc
boogers in the threads, and nuts that fit too tight (probably meaning some
shop in China didn't get the message that the nuts have to be threaded
oversize if you're going to put HDG on them.
One possible improvement that Chuck probably doesn't want to hear is to
punch the holes slightly like slots ... hot dog shaped ... rather than
perfect circles. That would allow a little play in the rods when clamping
them to the pipe or tower. Most other vendors do this. Otherwise Chuck's
are better on every count.

Where are you guys getting galvanized Uclamps? Occasionally we need
something to go around a round tower leg. Then a bracket to attach a
dish or something.
