Also figuring out "simple" building maintenance devices. I still remember years ago, when I and 2 other knowledgeable PC/network techs (all male) had finished an install at a trucking company. There was some dirt on the floor from ceiling tiles etc., and for the love of god all 3 of us could not figure out how to use their onsite vacuum to clean it up. One of the secretaries there needed to show us "smart guys" how to operate the vacuum.
