Why 5 GHz backup for 6 GHz? The only reason I can think of is in case the electronics fails. Usually 5 GHz would be backing up a licensed link at a much higher frequency in case of rain fade.
Maybe a 6 GHz 1+1 hot standby configuration would be better. I can see the appeal for windload and alignment (and tower rent, if applicable), but I'm pretty sure the parts to do that are going to be quite a bit more expensive than a pair of cheap 5ghz dishes, and probably not going to work as well, since the frequency will be a bit off from what they're optimized for.
