Is resting your hand on the bottom of the wheel good enough?

I went ahead and leased it.  This is my fourth leaf.  I had the very first one in Utah.  They have come a long way.  Love the auto pilot and the torque.  Has a 225 hp set of motors.  Range that you can actually count on is about 180 miles.  The auto pilot gets increasingly obnoxious if you don't put your hands on the wheel.  It finally briefly jams on the brakes a couple of times to wake you up.  Then it finally shuts off and slows way down.

I love the 360 degree overhead view that comes with the back up camera view. They stitch 4 cameras together to make it.

Under 6 seconds 0-60  I have not had a good chance to get really good timing on it yet.  Will burn a bit of rubber any time you punch it, even if  you are already going 30 mph.  Love to shoot into small gaps in traffic with this thing.  The old leafs were good at that but this one is great.

Could have had a used Tesla model S for the same amount of money.  Not sure how it could have been much better.  Perhaps a bit more room, a bit more torque, a bit more range - maybe.  Many more miles and more wear on the battery.

Nissan says it has an EPA range of 226 miles, but they have always published higher figures that you get in real life freeway commuter use.    The original leaf published 84 miles but could only be counted on to do 65 miles in the summer and about 55 in the winter.

3.4 miles per kwh seems to be a figure you can hang  your hat on with a leaf.  62 kwh battery, but you can't get all of the 62 kwhs out of it.

Drove the 2019 leaf.  Holy crap, it will unstick the tires very easily. 60kwh batt. Adaptive cruise and lane works extremely well.  Love everything about it.
