I am trying to use some surge protectors but am running into fcs/crc
issues. I tried to go to surge-protection.org which I believe used to have
some helpful information, but it is no longer available.

The configuration I am attempting is connected as follows:

1. Mikrotik CCR1009
2. 3ft cat6A STP patch cable

3. 800-GIGE-TWR-J-HV-PCB Rev E
4. 1ft cat6A STP patch cable

5. Shielded cat6A keystone
6. 76ft cat6 FTP (Shireen DFP-1246)
7. Shielded cat6A keystone

8. 1ft cat6A STP patch cable
9. 800-GIGE-SS-HV-PCB Rev C2

10. 1ft cat6A STP patch cable
11. 800-POE-FUSE Rev B

12. 1ft cat6A STP patch cable
13. Netonix WS-12-250-DC

Keystone jacks are currently MonoPrice 15681, although I have tried two
other products as well
Patch cables are MonoPrice 24335, 24319

I do not have a cable certifier, but the Mikrotik and Netonix both report
fcs/crc errors at 1000fdx with this setup.

I have also tried using 800-GIGE-TWR-J-HV-PCB as both 3 and 9, and then
800-GIGE-SS-HV-PCB with identical outcomes.

The issue no longer exists if I remove either 3 & 4 or 8 & 9 from the
configuration. Removing 10 & 11 has no noticeable effect.

I have three sets of the above and all respond same.

I am testing both with and without power on the power lines in the Shireen.

Is there anything obvious I am missing? My understanding is this should
work well with cat5e, so any of the components *claiming* to be cat6/cat6A
would have to be even worse than that. Is that likely?
