1310/1490 is the GPON uplink/downlink wavelengths. I have a number of those FS modules deployed in Planet switches to talk to Calix 844GE's in BiDi AE mode to make it easier to cut over to GPON later.

I didn't really know that 1310/1490 was an option until I bought them accidentally.  Is there any particular reason to pick 1490 over 1550?  They're the same price on FS.com.
