I’m getting a mental image of a business card that says something like “Have
Fiber, Will Work Remotely … Wire 900MHzDude, Philippines”.

Hey guys,

Just throwing this out there. If you are looking to relocate to sunny Florida,
Florida Broadband has an opening starting immediately, for a key position in
the company. After 10 years, my right hand man from a technical standpoint, is
changing life directions and we need to replace him.

This was a bit unexpected and just happened, and we have relatively short
notice, so I haven’t had a chance to draft a formal Job Offer sheet. I will
have that in a few days. The position currently wears many hats. Admin’ing
the network has responsibilities, but when that is going properly, there is a
lot of other things to do, including being involved in tech support. Our
network is fairly simple. Fortunately, things run pretty smoothly here
(except the summer storms), so even that is not an all-consuming task. Being
able to program is a bonus as we have some perl and a little PHP routines
written. So, a wide general skillset would work best.

Florida Broadband is growing and we are looking for good people. Not wanting to
poach anybody’s people (and that probably wouldn’t happen anyway), but if
someone is looking for a geographic change in sunny Florida, there is an
opportunity here.

Paul
