Two probes.  Both measure temperature.  One of them has a heating element 
inside too.  There is a formula for when you add some much power to the probe 
and its temperature rises so much, you can determine the airflow.  It is based 
on the “hot wire anemometer” that was discovered in the late 1880s.  I didn’t 
build that part.  

Most cars have a similar device in them.
