Well, she never revealed her source, and by process of elimination they
took a stab that it was the FBI.

So they had to fabricate that part of the story, but what the newspaper
published is a fact in evidence, so they didn’t , couldn’t really, hype
that.
An article quotes people who knew Kathy Scruggs backing up how the movie
portrayed her.
