If you only use shallow devices, you can rack mount normally in a 10 inch deep box, like a 24x32x10 Hoffman enclosure, and still have enough room for the cables to bend comfortably. APC shelves are no problem, I think the deepest piece of electronics I’ve gotten into them is a Mikrotik RB1100AHx4. I think I cheated and used 1/4 inch spacers. This was with a standard wallmount patch panel bracket from someplace like StarTech. We put rackmount equipment in the top of the box and DIN rail stuff in the bottom. This is using a backplate.

That would be nice. Or if it slid out on rails. I dare anybody to put three devices in that rack and try to reach cables on the rear one. So anybody have something like that, but with a removable top? <https://cdn3.volusion.com/wpxxm.srnxh/v/vspfiles/photos/NS242412VFA1C-RV4U-5T.jpg?v-cache=1574087338> _____ -- AF mailing list [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- AF mailing list [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com
