Are you talking about the RHINO line of labelmakers, or another Dymo product?
We use those for labels inside the enclosure. Outdoors we use colored electrical tape so I don't know if the RHINO labels are UV resistant. I know the Brother TZ tapes stand up really well in the sun, I have labels on the doors of outdoor enclosures that are fine after 10 years, but they aren't well suited for cables. One other question, what color print are you using? In general I have found that black holds up a lot better in sunlight than other colors like red. -----Original Message----- From: AF <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Matt Sent: Monday, February 17, 2020 11:19 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [AFMUG] UV Resistant Label Machine We use cheap DYMO label machines to label cat-5 tower runs etc. Within 6 months you cannot read the labels used outdoors but you usually do not need too. Does anyone know of outdoor UV resistant cartridges for them or for any label machine? -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- AF mailing list [email protected] http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com
